R&D activities to further develop and advance the accelerator for the XFEL has its own funding line within the operation budget. The funds for accelerator R&D amount to about 5 Mio. € per year and are subject to approved R&D proposals. New proposals based on the template below should be send to the coordination team for the accelerator operation. Yearly status updates on the progress within each activity will be required.
