Minutes of the EMI/EMC Working Group Meeting on 09/05/05

1. Short Report from the "EMI Steering Group" (Herbert Kapitza):

   o Who is this group and what is it good for?
     - P.G"ottlicher, H.Kapitza, and H.Schlarb meet each Thursday at 11:30 in
       room 624/2b.
     - Digest last week's collected EMI news, extract and prioritize work
       topics.
     - Prepare agenda of monthly TTF EMI Working Group Meeting.

   o Current topic list:
     - EMI evaluation at TTF2: Set up a monitoring system
       (PG, HK together with K.Rehlich, M.Görler).
     - LLRF tests at end of May: How much is EMI part of the program?
     - Weekly compilation of observed interferences
       (Run & Technical Coordinators).
     - Cooperation with Technical Universities (Hamburg, Hannover):
       Formulate (diploma) thesis topics. See also Lutz Schreiter's note
       in the EMI Elogbook 10/05/05 9:16.

   o Some organizational items:
     - Unless requested otherwise, the discussion language of the monthly
       TTF EMI Working Group meeting is German.
     - Written material to be archived - like these minutes - and entries
       in the Elogbook reach a larger audience and are preferrably made
       in English.
     - By the way, in the FLA seminar we have made good experience with
       talks being given in German, but using English transparencies.

2. Introduction to the TTF Elogbook EMI Folder (Holger Schlarb):

   o Holger explained
     - how to open the TTF Elogbook from inside/outside DESY,
     - where to find the EMI folder,
     - how to enter text and documents,
     - how to change/update entries.
     There is a detailed description in the Tutorial section of the TTF
     Elogbook: doc/Tutorial/2004-05-12: Introduction to eLogBook.

   o In the future this will be briefly referred to as "EMI Elogbook".

3. Status Report Pulse Cable (Hans-Jörg Eckoldt):

4. Presentation of Measuring Devices Available at DESY (Peter Göttlicher):

     (There was no presentation in the meeting, due to lack of time.)
